Eliminating barriers
Fashion and apparel companies are under significant competitive pressures to design, develop and produce their products faster and more efficiently while ensuring they get the right products to market at the right time and at the right price.
The return on investment for best-in-class software applications can be easily justified over time, however upfront cost often creates obstacles for companies who are starting up or operating on tighter and tighter margins, the company reports.
Making AccuMark available on a subscription basis aims to eliminate the barrier of up-front costs. So companies of all sizes can access the industry’s leading CAD design, grading, marker making and production planning software, making it possible to bring their designs to market faster, according to the manufacturer.
Seasonality
One of the challenges in the fashion industry is seasonality. With a three-month renewable subscription to AccuMark, companies can now expand their AccuMark seats without paying for another enterprise seat that is only used for a portion of a year, the company reports.

“Companies can accommodate seasonal demands and requirements through shorter commitment durations with full access to AccuMark during their subscription. This new subscription plan offers expanded accessibility and user flexibility,” explained Mary McFadden.
AccuMark 10.2
The introduction of AccuMark as a subscription coincides with the release of AccuMark 10.2 that is said to bring along improvements to its 3D capabilities and AccuPlan.
Now, more complex garments can be visualized more accurately thanks to an improved fabric engine that is designed to allow for increased material and physics parameters. In addition, users are able to use new design tools that allow for the creation of design lines directly on the garment. Additionally, AccuPlan now imports work orders from ERP systems, streamlining overall garment workflow.
