What's New in Optitex?

Here at EFI-Optitex we are constantly updating our software to make improvements, introduce new features and enhancements and more. We highly recommend you install our latest versions, to make sure your software is always up-to-date.

In our latest Optitex version: O/19, we have introduced a variety of new features and enhancements in the following products:

PDS-3D Updates

Check out the latest new features and enhancements that were introduced in 3D, in our latest version: O/19.5.

Indicator for Symmetrical Piece Positioning

When moving a piece, you can now visualize the symmetry line on the piece and avatar.

Button Shapes

There is a new mechanism for loading and managing button shapes. You can load the samples installed with PDS, or load your own files.

Fabric Testing User Guide

An updated Optitex Fabric Testing User Guide is now available. The guide covers how to operate the Optitex Fabric Testing Unit (FTU), used to measure fabric physical properties and achieve proper garment simulation in Optitex 3D.

Fit Garment Analysis

Enables you to identify different fit issues during the development process; for example, pieces deformation and overstretching (measured by FTU). You can also correct the pattern according to the Fit Analysis result.

PDS-2D Updates

Check out the latest new features and enhancements that were introduced in 2D, in our latest version: O/19.3.

Search Feature in PDS Preferences

A new search feature for PDS preferences enables searching and finding specific terms quickly in the Preferences dialog.

New Report Writer Parameters

New parameters have been added to the Report Writer (Pieces and SSetPieces).

Proportional Scale Feature in Pattern Shader

A new scaling feature in the Pattern Shader lets you scale material (texture) dimensions proportionally.

Marker Updates

Check out the latest new features and enhancements that were introduced in the Marker, in our latest version: O/19.3.

Marker Wizard

The new Marker Naming Rules dialog box allows you to define the content used for Marker file naming, as well as the order appearance within the file name.

Optitex Viewer Enhancements

The new Validation Mode feature lets you validate cut pieces against piece geometry displayed in real scale on a 4k screen.

The new Tolerance Check tool can be used to verify if a cut piece's size is within a certain tolerance.

Chamfer Feature

The Chamfer feature lets you automatically apply a chamfer of a given size to specified block fuse corners.

Avatar Editor Updates

Check out the latest new features and enhancements that were introduced in Avatar Editor, in our latest version: O/19.5.

Importing DAZ Avatars

You can now import animated DAZ avatars using the FBX file format. These avatars simplify the avatar creation process.
